A Steady, Consent-Based Healing Experience

If you’re sensitive or intuitive, not knowing what will happen can feel a bit activating.

This page is here to help you feel more at ease with the process.

Whether you come for an Shamanic Way of Healing ~ Inner Listening Exploration Sessions or Reiki ~ Energy Healing Sessions, the work is grounded, relational, and paced with your nervous system.

Nothing is forced.
Nothing is rushed.

You’re not expected to “go deep” or share more than feels right.

Before Your Session

You don’t need to prepare in any special way.

If it feels supportive, you might:

  • wear comfortable clothing
  • have water nearby
  • leave yourself a bit of quiet time afterward
  • avoid alcohol or substances beforehand

If we’re meeting online, choose a space where you feel reasonably undisturbed.

You don’t need to come with a clear intention.
We can find that together.

At the Beginning

We start by gently checking in with what’s going on for you.

I might ask:

  • What feels most present right now?
  • Where are you noticing tension or resistance?
  • What feels important to look at today?

From there, we listen for what your system is ready for.

Sometimes that looks like conversation.
Sometimes it becomes quieter and more internal.

There’s no right way to arrive.

During the Session

Each session unfolds a little differently, depending on what feels most supportive.

I’ll guide you, and I’ll always let you know if we’re shifting direction.

You’re never pushed past your edge.

If something feels like too much, we pause.
If something doesn’t feel right, we adjust.
If something is unclear, we talk it through.

Your comfort and consent guide the pace.

Shamanic Way of Healing ~ Inner Listening Exploration Sessions may include:

  • guided inner exploration
  • working with protective parts (the Protector)
  • connecting with deeper desires or direction (the Dreamer)
  • shamanic journey work
  • connecting with Spirit Guides, Higher Self, or Power Animals
  • Soul Memory work (a guided journey to meet and resolve the deeper origin of a pattern or experience)
  • Power Retrieval (reconnecting with parts of your energy or strength that have been lost, suppressed, or disconnected over time)
  • ancestral or lineage themes
  • boundary repair or energetic clearing

Reiki ~ Energy Healing sessions are usually:

  • quieter and more restorative
  • focused on calming the nervous system
  • supportive for energetic balance and regulation
  • hands-on (in person) or distance-based (online)
  • a gentle place to begin if you’re not sure where to start

What a Session Can Look Like (An Example)

Every session is a little different, but this gives you a sense of how it might unfold.

We begin by talking.

You might share what’s been on your mind, or what’s been feeling heavy, confusing, or stuck.
Sometimes people come in with something clear.
Other times it’s more of a feeling they can’t quite name yet.

We take a few minutes to get oriented together.

From there, we follow what feels most present.

That might look like staying in conversation a bit longer—gently exploring what you’re noticing, where you feel it in your body, or what feels like it’s getting in the way.

At a certain point, we may shift into a more guided or inward part of the session.

I might invite you to close your eyes, or simply soften your focus.

You’re still aware and in control the whole time.

From here, depending on what’s needed, the session might include:

  • a guided inner experience or journey
  • working with a part of you that’s been protecting or holding something
  • connecting with an inner image, memory, or symbolic experience
  • quiet energy work to support your system in settling and shifting

Sometimes the session is more visual and experiential.
Sometimes it’s subtle and felt more in the body or nervous system.

There’s no pressure for anything to “happen.”

We move at a pace that feels manageable for you.

Toward the end, we gently come back and take a few minutes to talk about what you noticed, what stood out, or what feels different.

You don’t need to make sense of everything right away.

Often, the shift is something you feel more than something you can explain.

What It Feels Like

Most sessions feel:

  • grounded
  • steady
  • reflective
  • quietly clarifying

There can be emotion—but not overwhelm.

Most people leave feeling calmer than when they arrived.

This isn’t about intensity or catharsis.
It’s about creating the conditions where your system can settle, open, and shift in a way that feels safe.

After Your Session

What You May Notice

The work doesn’t always stop when the session ends.

Things can continue to settle and shift over the next hours or days.

You might notice:

  • feeling calm, clear, or more settled
  • needing more rest than usual
  • feeling quieter or more inward
  • emotional openness or reflection
  • subtle shifts in perspective

Sometimes your body responds as it recalibrates:

  • mild headache
  • fatigue
  • temporary sensitivity or feeling a bit “off”

These are usually short-lived and part of your system finding its balance.

Supporting Integration

You don’t need to do anything specific.

If it feels supportive, you might:

  • drink a bit more water
  • rest
  • spend time in quiet or nature
  • move gently

Your system will take what it needs, in its own timing.

When to Take Extra Care

If anything feels stronger or doesn’t settle (like ongoing headache, nausea, or anything concerning), take care of yourself in a practical way.

Others begin with Reiki ~ Energy Healing for grounding and support.

Both are good places to begin.

We simply start with what feels right for you.

They are not psychotherapy and do not replace clinical mental health care.
