Energetic Trauma Release

Working With What the Body Holds

Sometimes an experience is over, but something in you still responds as though it isn’t.

You may understand what happened. You may have talked about it, worked through it, or simply carried on with your life. And yet when something reminds you of the experience, you can still feel it—a tightening in your body, a wave of emotion, a sense of fear or uneasiness, or a reaction that feels stronger than the present moment seems to call for.

Sometimes there is more to an experience than what we can work through with the thinking mind alone.

Energetic Trauma Release is a gentle, body- and energy-based approach to working with what may still be held beneath the surface.

You Don’t Have to Relive the Story

One of the things I appreciate about this work is that you don’t need to repeatedly talk through or relive everything that happened.

We’ll begin by talking about what you’re experiencing and what you’d like support with, but the session itself focuses primarily on working with your body’s response and your energy system.

Using a combination of nervous-system-focused techniques and energy healing, we’ll gently work with the emotional, physical and energetic responses that may still be connected with an experience.

Working With the Body and Energy System

Our experiences can affect us on many interconnected levels. We may carry them through our emotions, physical sensations, patterns and responses, as well as within the energy system.

During an Energetic Trauma Release session, I work with both.

The session may include opening and balancing the energy centres, energy clearing and healing, body awareness, breath, and gentle nervous-system-focused techniques designed to help the body settle and create space around the response you have been carrying.

Rather than forcing something to change, we work with what is present and allow the session to unfold at a pace that feels manageable for you.

What Might You Bring to a Session?

You don’t need to know whether what you’ve experienced is “trauma” or have a particular diagnosis to come for this work.

You may simply know that something still affects you.

This could be connected with an accident or injury, surgery or medical experience, loss or grief, a difficult relationship or breakup, betrayal or rejection, a frightening or overwhelming event, a major life change, or an experience from your past that continues to bring up a strong emotional or physical response.

It can also be something that’s difficult to explain—you simply notice that certain situations, memories or experiences continue to activate something in you.

If it feels as though your mind has moved on but another part of you hasn’t, this work offers another place to begin.

What a Session Is Like

We’ll start with a conversation about what you’re experiencing and what you would like to work with. You decide how much or how little of the story you want to share.

From there, we’ll move into the body- and energy-based portion of the session. I’ll guide you through the process while also working with your energy system and paying attention to what your body is communicating along the way.

There is no need to force a particular outcome or dig for memories. We work with what is present in the moment.

75-Minute Energetic Trauma Release

75 minutes

This session allows time to talk about what is bringing you in, move through the trauma-release and energy-healing work, and give you some space afterward to settle and integrate before we finish.

A Complementary Approach

Energetic Trauma Release is a complementary energy- and body-based practice. It is not psychotherapy, psychological treatment or medical care, and it is not intended to diagnose or treat mental-health or medical conditions.

If you are experiencing significant psychological distress, are in crisis, or are working through complex trauma, abuse, addiction or a mental-health condition, this work is best used alongside appropriate support from a qualified healthcare or mental-health professional.
